Aluminum claims the top spot of materials people want to recycle. Yellow Pages data shows that 21 percent of total calls are from users looking for information about where to recycle aluminum(1). Yellow Pages Income Fund Reports Third Quarter Financial Results (11/06/2008)

Montreal (Québec), November 6, 2008 – Yellow Pages Income Fund (TSX: YLO.UN) reported third quarter results today highlighted by gains in EBITDA margin performance in both Directories and Vertical Media. The company continues to strengthen its leading position through investments to expand its product portfolio and improve its market coverage.
For the third quarter ending September 30, 2008, consolidated net earnings increased 19.6% to $146.1 million compared to $122.1 million for the same period in 2007. Income from operations during the quarter reached $204.4 million, a 24.8% increase over the $163.8 million reported last year. Cash flow from operating activities amounted to $187.5 million during the quarter.

Google, Telstra sign deal for Yellow Maps (11/03/2008)

Google and Telstra subsidiary Sensis has signed a deal to integrate the data from its Yellow Pages business listings into Google Maps Australia. "We are looking to our relationship with Google to find as many customers as possible for the Yellow advertisers," Sensis CEO Bruce Akhurst said this morning of the deal. "Today we have something like 11 million Australians every month using the Yellow Pages service about 150 million times a month," he said. "We have something like 600,000 small businesses [that] have advertised through Sensis." Akhurst said this deal extended to all Yellow services. "If you advertise with Yellow Directory, Yellow Online, Yellow Mobile or our telephone service 1234 ... you will now be able to be found through the Google search engine and the Google distribution."
